2023 Federal Employee Program (FEP) Changes

<p>Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS) will continue to administer the FEP group health plan in Kansas for 2023. </p> <p>The Service Benefit Plan continues to offer three plans:</p> <ul> <li><a href="https://www.fepblue.org/-/media/PDFs/Brochures/2023/Standard-and-Basic-Option-brochure_2023.pdf">Standard Option</a></li> <li><a href="https://www.fepblue.org/-/media/PDFs/Brochures/2023/Standard-and-Basic-Option-brochure_2023.pdf">Basic Option</a></li> <li><a href="https://www.fepblue.org/-/media/PDFs/Brochures/2023/FEP-Blue-Focus-brochure-2023.pdf">FEP Blue Focus</a></li> </ul> <p>Changes to all Service Benefit Plans (Standard, Basic and FEP Blue Focus):</p> <ul> <li>Will cover egg or sperm storage for members facing infertility due to a medical procedure or treatment</li> <li>Removed the limit on covered non-sibling donors for transplant services</li> <li>Lowered the age for covering weight-loss (bariatric) surgery</li> </ul> <p>For additional details on all FEP Service Benefit Plans/changes, please visit <a href="https://www.fepblue.org/open-season/whats-new-2023">What’s New for 2023</a> on the FEP website.</p> <p>If you have any questions regarding this newsletter, please contact your <a href="/providers/institutional/contact-us">BCBSKS provider consultant</a>.</p>
